Manager Riteesh Mishra has reflected on the 1-0 home to Sheffield United on Sunday.
Speaking after the game, Mishra said:
“It was a tough game. In the first half they did dominate, the disappointing thing is that they scored from a penalty, it could have been more but Eartha had another outstanding game and I thought the back four defensively kept us in the game.
“In the second half we were always fighting and scrapping to create chances, we didn’t really create many moments, we had one or two towards the end but they saw the game out well and we lacked ideas.
“There are some positives to take from it, I think the creativity of Charlotte Gurr and Ella Rutherford coming back fit is going to help us massively, we’ve got two more weeks to get them both fit and I think that they’ve got a chance to start next.
“I think every game is a big game and you can see that the table is starting to shape itself up but we’re still a team that has games in hand and one result can change the luck of everything so I don’t really look too much into the table itself. I think every game for us is a big game because we have missed opportunities for us to get points, including today.” |
