Kit Graham has been named as the Players’ Player of the Year for the FA Women’s Championship.rnrn
Graham scored 12 goals in 16 league appearances for the Addicks this season and has been rewarded by her peers for her influential performances.
The striker received the ultimate accolade from her opponents after impressing them throughout the season.
After each game the opposition side votes for their Player of the Match, with Kit Graham winning the most votes this season.
Graham was nominated for Player of the Month twice this campaign, and her efforts on the pitch have been reflected in this award.
Speaking about winning the award, Graham said:
“I feel extremely grateful to receive this award. I’ve played against some very talented players this year.
“I’ve experienced some highs and lows this year after being injured for a while, so to win came as a bit of a surprise to me. I’d like to thank everyone for their support.”
It took a while for the striker to gain momentum at the start of the season due to an injury, but her impact on each game was clear as she constantly provided a threat against opposition teams.
Graham put in some stunning performances this season, notably against Manchester United at home when she scored a 25-yard screamer against the Champions.
As well as her goals on the pitch Graham has been a key part of the team and her work off the ball has been recognised.
Graham has assisted a number of times this season, many of them in a selfless fashion where she had the opportunity to score herself but passed to a teammate instead.
