Charlton Athletic Women can confirm that Harley Bennett and Lily Agg have left the club. Both were offered new contracts to which they declined.

“It’s of course disappointing to lose players who you wanted to keep. Harley had a big impact over the last 18 months who helped us seal promotion into the Championship which I’ll always look back on fondly. And Lily was someone who has got good experience and pedigree” said manager Riteesh Mishra.

“We simply couldn’t give them what they wanted at this point and they’ve both got my best wishes in their new chapter. My focus has been on the current players and new signings and I’m pleased that we’ve been able to not only replace players I think improve our squad, but we still have a few more I think needed to complete a squad ready to challenge.

“The players right now have a great opportunity in front of them to help us build on something special here and we have more players being announced over the next few weeks”

The club wishes Bennett and Agg the best in their future career.
