Addicks Under 17s stung by Hornets at Coldharbour on Saturday
The U17s  took on Watford at Coldharbour on Saturday looking to extend their unbeaten start to the season.

From the first whistle the young Charlton team were under pressure by a much improved Watford team that included several reserve team players.

The Addicks battled hard for  most of the first half but were often guilty of  giving the ball away in  area’s of the pitch likely to cause themselves problem’s. Watford took advantage of Charlton`s generosity to take the lead midway through the first half.

To their credit Charlton battled back and equalised with a very good goal from Charlotte Wakefield.

The second half started with the Addicks coming close on several occasions, but were behind again in a short period of time.

As the game ebbed and flowed a further goal from Watford and a strike from Addicks centre-forward Jade Keogh meant the result was in the balance until the final  moments.

Charlton had two great opportunities to score late in the game and Watford scored from what was a shot come cross that some how found the back of the net  just  before the final whistle.
