Sam Rowland`s early strike seals the points and the Reserves first victory of 2011/12
This was a hard fought victory in which our young team showed fine battling qualities.
In the first half we played some good football on a difficult surface in blustery conditions.

The only goal of the game came after 13 minutes from a Stef Simmons corner which was flicked on at the near post by Jade Keogh for Sam Rowland to fire home from five yards.

The second half saw Watford throw everything at us as they looked for the equaliser but they could not break down our resolute five-player defence. Our midfield dug deep and competed until the final whistle whilst our forwards never stopped running.

Speaking after the game Manager Bill Long said "The result and performance was very pleasing. The youngsters who have stepped up from junior football are a shining example of what Charlton is all about"

This well earnt win puts us 2nd in the league behind Arsenal Reserves.

Line Up: Baker, Flack, Manning, Patel, Goldsmith, Yennaris, Simmons, Sellar, Chandler, Keogh, Rowland
Subs: Ahern, Gibson, Balfour, Duffy
