Computer Clubs for Girls

Computer Clubs for Girls (CC4G) specifically addresses the gender imbalance within the ICT industry, where only 20 per cent of professionals are women. Under the guidance of our women's team players, girls aged 10-14 years can develop their ICT skills using password protected 36-hour online activities and 50 hours of offline activities at their own weekly girls' only computer club. Computer Clubs for Girls is available to primary schools throughout Greenwich, Bexley and Kent.

Specifically developed to appeal to girls from 10 to 14 years of age (years Six to Nine), CC4G provides a unique combination of popular interest (music, fashion, dance and celebrities) with Key Stage 2 and 3 curricular links in an easy to manage ready to use inclusive club package.

CC4G offer a range of fun and engaging activities. There are eight inspirational topics through which to develop their ICT skills. Each topic contains stand alone learning modules, which can be worked on independently or in groups at the girls' own pace. It offers a safe password-protected environment, allowing girls to gain confidence and develop key skills through experimentation, design and creativity - all this in a socially supportive environment.

CC4G is an extra curricular club designed to run weekly. Over 36 hours of password protected e-learning courseware and over 50 hours of offline extension activities are available. Charlton Athletic women's team players will facilitate your schools very own computer club and guide the girls through the online programme encouraging them to develop their ICT skills. (The computer club can be combined with one of our girls-only football coaching clubs or Addickted to Fitness classes)
